Car will not crank

It could be the switch in the light that blows the fuse. There are actually three different circuits in the switch. It is possible that the one that turns the interior light on/off is shorted to ground because of the bad switch. That could cause a blown fuse.

I would start by replacing the light/switch, It is a simple fix, you gently pry the lens out like you were changing the bulbs, then you will see the screws that hold it in. Remove those and fish the light down so you can unplug the connector. No with it unplugged, replace the fuse and see if it still blows instantly.

If it does it may be that the bad switch damaged the CCM and it will need to be replaced. Install the replacement light/switch unit. If you need to replace the CCM, it needs to be programmed to match your vehicle.

If the fuse holds and everything works, enjoy your vehicle.

So I had already tried replacing the ccm and that was fine no evidence of water but it just so happened while I was at the junk yard pulling the ccm I decided to get the dome light assembly because of my slider switch being broke and the light driving me nuts coming off and on on its own. So after I wrote and sent my question on this sight and thinking about reading one guys comment about the dome slider switch causing a lot of problems with many things like locks and windows I decided to just c he age them out but before I did I was looking at the unbroken one and there is a spring and gold metal small plate that if the switch were to break off they would be just sliding and bouncing around free and definitely made sense it could be the problem . so I quickly changed it and switched out a lot of fuses that the previous owner had wrong from the specs I was reading from the manual. And put the one back that kept blowing them put my jumper box on it .got in the car and it began to crank and started right up. If you could have seen how happy I was after several had tried helping me then gave up and me knowing very little about electrical I guess I was more intimidated and overly cautious to mess with it . But hey I needed my car and couldn't afford to keep payin people to give up in the middle of the job or being a pest. So you could imagined how excited I was when the job that was beginning to look too much to deal with scaring 3 guys away that were mechanics. When I finally fixed it . yay! I just want to say thanks to any one who tried helping me find the problem and yes you did help with very good advice . Thanks so much much appreciated for your time and effort .
