Hi I'm Ben and own a Toyota tarago 07 model.

I put key in and it stops flashing but car still wont start. Help please!!

My car was running perfect one day and the next day it wont start. I tried jump starting it,hitting the fuel tank underneath the car and it still wont run. It starts and then stops. The car with the key symbol flashes when the key is out of the ignition and once the key is in the ignition it stops flashing but still wont start.

An auto electrician told me it pops up as immobilisers fault to reprogram key again but it still wont start.
Can anybody help me please with this problem as ive payed hundreds of dollars and its still not fixed. Appreciate any help thanks

I payed for a mobile mechanic to look at it. He said it was the key. He took it to his auto electrician who cut a new key and replaced the shell with a new one but still using the old chip. It still pops up immobiliser fault. I have not payed for a reprogramme yet

sounds like the mobile tech was wrong.... unless the original key would not turn the ignition, there was no reason to replace the key.... if you have a fault for the imobilizer, then obviously there is a problem between the fob in your key, and the device that reads it.... in order to see which part failed is almost impossible without a dealer scan device.... they read data, and will justabout pinpoint what exactly failed.... the fob is just an inline resister.... they usually never fail.... im going to guess you have a wiring issue that is causing this.... i would recommend bringing to the dealer, as they will beable to pinpoint exactly, and solve this issue, fairly cheaply too i presume.
