car will not start and i have no idea why!!

Hi, my mazda mx-3 will not start but when it starter i was teaching someone to drive and it started to sputter like it had no gas but i had just topped off before we left i know where the fuel pump is but i don't need fuel going everywhere because i dont have leather seats haha (first world problems) so id like any suggestions this has to get back up and running because it use to be my dad's and he is no longer with us. Thank you, your help is greatly appreciated.!

Check the fuel pressure if its within specs if okay and also if injectors are pulsing if okay - look spark. let me know

I am sorry to hear about your dad, I lost mine too, here is a guide to help us but I would check for spark first trying starting fluid, also please go over this video.

If there is not spark I would check out the crankshaft angle sensor, here is the location so you can check it out. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.
