Sometimes not at all can be driving and it spins like its in neutral
OK so my wife was driving the van at about 35mph, when all of a sudden it spins like it is in neutral. She was able to get it back home, but when I tried to move the van it would just sit there and spin like it is in neutral. Every once in a while it would engage around 2000 + rpm. It also had a loud whining noise coming from the driver side of the motor. It had the check engine light on so I took it to advanced auto and they said that there was no code from there computer.
So after talking to a couple people they all thought that it could be the Transmission control Sensor. So I tried replacing it with a used one, it did the same thing, I again tried with two other used ones and the same results, except now it does not make the whining noise, and it seems to engage at less rpm when it engages. However once I disconnected the battery the check engine light has not come back on. Any thoughts on what could be causing this??
