Was driving to work and the idler pulley and serpentine belt broke. The belt cut the wire for the connector to the oil pressure sensor. I replaced the pulley and belt, and replaced the connector and wire to the oil pressure sensor and the car would not crank. I posted a video and everyone said the timing belt broke. I've replaced the timing belt and pulleys, water pump, thermostat, engine coils and spark plugs, and the camshaft sensor, and the car still will not crank! Oh and no codes are showing on my code reader.

Hi,

The timing is wrong or there is no compression. I can tell by the sound.

If the timing belt broke when the engine was running, internal damage has occurred. This is an interference engine. The way to confirm I am correct is to check engine compression. Here is a link that shows how it is done:

Other than damage internally (bent valves) the timing could be off. Let me know if it broke when the engine was running.

The timing belt was not broken, but it did have cracks so I replaced it. I brought the timing tool kit and I lined up the cams had rotated the engine, and check the cams again and everything was in line.

Good morning.

Just to add to Joe's comments, it does not have compression. You will need to confirm the marks but as Joe said, if the timing is off, most likely you have valve damage.

Okay, thanks to the both of you. I'll have the compression checked and see what my next course of action is.
