Engine will not crank?

Hi,

Does the starter engage but the engine fails to start? If that is the case, the intelligent key is likely not being recognized or the key isn't recognized. Do you have a spare key you could try?

Also, if you have any other wireless devices in the vehicle that could cause interference with the NATS (Nissan anti-theft system)?

Don't laugh, but I attached a pic below showing what I believe you are referring to. Please confirm that for me.

Let me know if you have an intelligent key (push button start) or a traditional type key. Also, are other electrical components working properly and does the starter engage?

Let me know. We may need to scan the can-bus to see if there are diagnostic trouble codes related to this.

Yes, the starter engages. Nothing else electronic to interfere. And the yellow light we have is just the key symbol. Photo below. Unfortunately, I don't have a spare key. But the key we have unlocks the door and does everything it's supposed to do until it's time to start the car.

It looks like the immobilizer has the vehicle locked down. The key light indicates the physical one for the vehicle is not present.

What we should do is scan the can-bus to determine where the issue is coming from. I attached diagnostics for a code, B26EA, that I suspect will be set. However, I can't be certain without scanning it.

Take a look at the diagnostics below and let me know if you are comfortable performing them. Again, I would recommend the can-scan first.

How can I get the key reprogrammed? And how can it just stop working and need to be reprogrammed when it just worked a few days ago? And this would be the issue even though I can use the key to lock and unlock car just not crank.

It is possible that the fob works with the doors, but for some reason, it isn't recognized by the body control module.

For programming, you need to have the correct scan tool that can communicate with the body control module. By chance, did you notice it in the directions above? Chances are it will need to be done by either a locksmith or a dealership. Also, without scanning the can-bus, I can't be 100% sure that is the issue. It is a theory at this point.
