car temperature help 1992 lexus es300

i have a 1992 lexus es300
im having problem with the temperature of the car i just bought a 92 lexus es300 and i was wondering when i start the car and leave it warm up for 5-10 min the temperature needle in the console goes up slowing up to high approximately close to high, i dont know what the problem is but when it does get high the fan when u press the gas the fan goes faster not like the other cars i worked on when the car get to the right temperature the fan kicked on well this car does not do it is it like that or how can i fix it any suggestion

check your coolantlevel first then have checked for internal leaks by pressure check

Hi I already check the coolant level and it is good. I had a friend check the pressure for me and he said there were no leak what can i do after that and can the tempeture affect my nox reading when i do my emssion

you can change the thermostat and see if that fixes it or when the car is hot and engine off place your hand on different spots on radiator if you feel cold spots the rad needs to be replaced. or if finsare green an dloose on edges.
