Engine shuts off and will not restart until it has sat for about an hour?

The car turns off out of nowhere, then it will only start back up after it has sat for about an hour. Then it starts and the same problem repeats. I need help!

When it stalls can you hear the fuel pump running in the tank? If so, then I would run the codes and if none comes up replace the crankshaft angle sensor.
