brakes were squeaking

The brakes were squeaking and I put w-d 40, but I see when I searched it up it was a bad mistake. how can fix the problem with cleaning off the w-d40 and the squeaking noise?

Yeah, unfortunately that was not a good move as we need the friction to stop the vehicle and we don't want to reduce that with a lubricant. You are going to have to replace the pads and rotors to be sure that they are okay. Plus this will also fix the noise issue.
