Good Day. I have a Peugeot 207 Gti, and i have noticed about 2 weeks ago that when i rev my car a bit or drive it above 2500rpm and stop and let car idle smoke comes out of exhaust system. I can't determine the smell off it if its oil, fuel or coolant related. Some have said that it could either be my turbo seals or valve stem seals that have gone. When i drive normal and keep the revs below 2500 rpm no smokes comes out exhaust, my turbo does spool up and the one time i had to push it hard as a car was heading for me and wanting to avoid a accident, i heard the turbo spool up but no boost and when i changed gear my BOV did not release.

Could you please assist me? My warranty expired just before this happened.

What colour is the smoke, and as for the turbo spooling and no power, best get a boost check done just to see what is going on, it may just be some turbo lag, lag is the time between spooling and pressure coming on, in a emergence like you had it may of seamed like nothing was happening, when you wanted the power on .

It is white smoke and got a awful smell out of exhaust on friday, Was at mech and said it was my catch pan and idled car for an a hour to burn all the stuff that went through turbo to exhaust and went away, detached pipe that goes from catch can to turbo to dry out and on tuesday it smoked again. He looked at turbo and turbo is fine but also have anti pollution error the whole time

Are you using any coolant? have you had a need to top it up, and is the smell very sweet?

Not using any coolant, did check it. Only timing that is out and going in this week for timing. The smell is like old oil burning so thinking it might be turbo seal on exhaust side that is leaking

If it is a turbo seal you normally get oil spotting on the back of the car, and the inside of the exhaust will have wet oil stains, check that.
