when driving for A WHILE CAR SHUTS OFF AFTER LET IT SEAT FOR A WHILE IT WILL START BACK AND AFTER DRVING IT FOR A FEW MINUTES IT WILL SHUT OFF AGAIN IS THIS THE CRANK SHAFT POSITION?

Are you losing spark--fuel-- everything? The crank sensor is a possibility among others.

How long since a tune-up? Can you check for applicable trouble codes? To check for codes, at the least, you need an obd2 code reader. Your local autostore should have a code reader.

had codes checked and it showed code for crankshaft position sensor changed it and check engine light went off
