My car shut off in the middle of the road today. When I started it, engine light was on. I plugged in my OBD II pocket scanner and it would not read. That is the first time it did that. I got it to the gas station about 100 ft away. I looked for all the issues. I notice it kept shutting off from low rpms. The car would not rev in DRIVE, wouldn't even go to 1000rpm. In park it went up but I had to keep my foot on the gas or it would shut off. I adjusted the throttle position sensor, and managed to get it home. Car was going like 3 miles and hour and moving like the wind was pushing it. Luckily small town, wasn't far to get home. As I got closer to home I started smelling something. I thought my car was burning. I got home open the hood, I saw nothing engine looked normal and under car looked normal. Before all this car was misfiring. I believe from a vacuum leak but I could not find it. I know it was a leak cause I smoked it and saw a leak coming from near the firewall.
