Engine shut off while decelerating

I was driving slowed down and the car cut up. Put the car in park and try starting again. It did not I swing again. The car idle high and rough and the rev gauge on the cluster was not responding. I turn off for about 2 minutes and start again and everything was back to normal
Can you help me please?

Hi,

It could be a few things. Is the check engine light staying on when the engine is running? If it is, that is where we need to start. Here is a video showing how to scan the computer:

I realize most people don't own a scanner, but often times a parts store will do it free of charge.

If the check engine light isn't staying on, the next thing I would expect is a faulty crankshaft position sensor. Take a look through this link and let me know if it seems to mirror what you experienced:

The crankshaft sensors, when going bad, seem to fail when they get hot. Once they cool off they can work again. Interestingly, they can fail and not set a check engine light.
