Car runs then shuts off?

I recently had my engine pulled out, I had to drop the pan to look for belt and I also swapped the head over because of a rounded injector bore. Now when I start the car it runs for a little the dies no matter how much gas I give it. If I unplug the crank sensor it will long crank but start and run pretty good.
