I bought this vehicle (second hand) with a set of brand new all seasons tires and brand new front shocks. After riding the car for a week I started to feel the car bounce over three times when I hit a road bump, a road hole or a little crack. I took it to a garage and they told me the rear shocks are broken. I changed rear shocks and the front stabilizers. That solved the bounciness problem but I still feel that the car is very bumpy on the road. I drove the car for one month and a half like this. Last week I noticed that the inner half of rear tires are completely bald. It was very dangerous to drive when we got our first snow. I took it to the garage and they did alignment and changed the tires. But I still feel every little bump on the road when I drive. my wife gets a headache when she drives for more than 25 minutes. any solution?

Hi, welcome to 2CarPros.

It sounds like you may have some major issues going on here.

First, if you ruined a new set of tires in the rear of the car in a month and a half then I would speculate that you have a bent axle. The rear alignment can not be adjusted so you will probably ruin another set of tires in a month.

If the axle is bent then you may have some other things bent as well, such as control arms etc. If the suspension is bent as well then it may not function correctly and give you a stiff ride.

I would get under it and look down the axle to make sure its straight in both directions and look at the suspension parts left to right and make sure they all look the same. If one side has crooked parts and the other doesn't you know they are bent.

Let me know what you find. You can even upload some pictures of it.
