car pulling away with force and knocking noise

Hi

Last night i tried to pull away at very high RPM and the car just stuttered and died. I am able to start the car, but there is a horrible crack/knocking noise what seems to be comming from the wheels or the front of the car when i try to pull away or reverse.

I have little knowledge on cars and mechanical and trying to avoid being ripped off by some mechanic.

t sounds like an axle/wheel bearing problem have a local pro look at it. if it breaks completely you may lose control of vehicle.

This mornig i noticed a oil leak comming from the passanger side. It is a right hand drive car. See image uploaded. Possibly gearbox??
We towed the car aprox 15km last night.
I might be wrong when i say that the noise is comming from the wheels as it can come from anywhere in the engin and im to afraid to make the car run in 1st gear due to that noise being load and worrying.

either jack it up and crawl under there to get a better look at where the leak is or have it towedto a garage so they can check it out. it may be your gear box seizing up
