I have to keep refilling reservoir. Car still gets hot after ten miles or more fan, works fine.

Good afternoon.
It sounds like you have a leak in the system. You need to do a pressure test to determine the leak and repair it. Guide below on pressure test.
The thermostat may not be opening causing it to heat up as well.
