The car started well yesterday in the morning and I arrived at work, when I knock off, the car could not start. When I turn the ignition once it switches on the dash board, battery, engine, oil, and hand brake. When I turn to start it does not start the engine. When I return the key, it does not switches off. It dimmed but when I depress the brake pedal. The battery, engine, oil, hand brake switches on even though the key is at off position.

What must I check?

It sounds like the battery is low or the ignition switch needs to be replaced lets start with the battery load test this guide should help.

Hi Ken, thank you for a reply, we found the problem was the wiring, there were wires that were damaged by rats that supply power to alternator. The electrician fixed them. On Friday after work when I was driving home, I saw the speedometer dropped to zero while I am driving, the car could not stop, but when I get to the red robot the battery, engine, oil lights came on, but the car did not cut the power. It goes and it has done that three times until I get home. Is it a new problem or related to the fixed wires? Please advise. The Battery is months old.

Yes, this could be I would re-check the wiring at the battery because it sounds like you have a bad connection/wiring still not giving power to part of the car.
