When you turn the key to start the car, no light comes on?

When you turn the key to start the car, no light comes on in the small window on in that small window on the dashboard, only the battery light shows. The engine search light does not come on.

The car does not light check engine light so it does not want to start.

how many hours to replace a starter motor in a 2002 nissan almera is it difficult to get at,do i need to remove the exuast pipe to get at it.do i need special tools.would it bee better to get a mechanic to do the job and how many hours would he take. i cant stretch this question any further. ratface
