Rattling noise coming from the front passenger side of vehicle

If you could get a recording of this would really help figure this out. A rattle noise to me means one thing but to someone else they may describe it differently. So hearing it will help identify it because we can also hear the repetitiveness of it and if it sounds like something familiar.

Without hearing it and pressing the gas pedal points to possible detonation or simply a suspension issue.

Does this make the noise while the vehicle is in motion only or can you press the gas in park and make it do it?

Again, a recording is the best way for us to get on the same page if that is possible. Thanks

The noise only happens when I press on the gas pedal to drive. It does not make any noises when I press the gas in park. I would have to have someone with me to record the sound it does because I won’t be able to do this while I’m driving.

I understand. If we can try to make arrangements to do that it would really help, because at this point I am thinking it is detonation. This is caused by unburned fuel in cylinders or exhaust igniting causing a sound of pinging or marbles in a tin can.

If you press the accelerator harder do it go away or not do it? Or does it seem to be more related to just the vehicle moving and not so much the actual RPM going up?

I am sure a recording will answer most these questions so I think that is the best course of action. Thanks

I am assuming you have the 3.6L? The fact that this is only happening on acceleration, I suspect this video is going to address the issue. It is just a matter of determining which one.

What grade fuel are you using and when is the last oil change that you have done on the engine? Let's check the engine oil level and if that is okay, the next time you need fuel let's get an octane booster from a parts store and then put 5 gallons of high test (93 or better) then put the full bottle of booster in it. Give it about 25 miles and then see if the issue is better or gone. If it is then this is detonation or spark knock.
