My car anti-lock brake and battery light turned on while driving, also the temperature flew to H and a rumbling noise under hood at a stop. Why did this all of a sudden happen? Please need help my car has 158,896 miles. My car has an automatic transmission.

My suspicion is a belt broke and the charging system stopped working. That would turn on the "Battery" warning light since the battery is not being recharged. The Anti-lock brake computer would see the low system voltage and since it cannot guarantee that system will work properly, it turned it off, then turned the warning light on to tell you.
