Car is shaking while in idle, dash lights (check engine, vsc, and slip indicator) are on, and the A/C is only partially working.

My car is just over 100k miles and my last oil change was 1k miles ago. About once or twice a month three dash lights (check engine, vsc, and slip indicator) will randomly come on when I start the car. The next time I start the car, however, they go off. Two days ago this happened again but the lights have stayed on.

Today I noticed that the car is shaking more than usual while I am parked or stopped at a light. This has happened before but went away after a short time. The weirdest thing happened today, when I was sitting in the parking lot I noticed my A/C was not working. It was just blowing non-cooled air. When I started driving, however, the A/C started to function normally. When I sat at a stop light the cold air stopped.

I am going on a 400 mile trip in a week so I am planning to get it checked out next week. Does this seem like a dire situation or am I okay to drive for another day or two before going to a mechanic?

Any help or suggestions is greatly appreciated!

More than likely this is a possible vacuum leak or misfire. However, we need to start with checking for codes to find out what is causing the lights to turn on. Here is a guide that will help with this:

However, if I am correct then these guides will help with figuring out where it is or what the issue is:

Please run through this information and let us know what you find with this and we can go from there. Thanks
