car door wont unlock or lock

When i stick the key inside the key hole it rotates to the left and right freely and is loose. The door doesnt unlock so i have to unlock the car from the trunk. I dont have a alarm key either.

Sounds like the lock is faulty. Thing is, with these lock they must be replaced by the dealer as Mercedes does not give out it lock information to aftermarket businesses.

Call your local Benz dealer to see what can be done. And oh yeah, get ready for a little sticker shock. I've had this happen to two of my cars before and it wasn't cheap nor expeditious.
