Hi,
First, I need you to check for diagnostic trouble codes. This vehicle has an OBD1 system, so a scan tool is not needed. All you will need is a short jumper wire or even a paper clip. Follow the directions in this link:

Since the pump was just replaced, I have a feeling that it could be related to the crankshaft position sensor. However, we need to do additional checking if there are no codes.
In the event no codes are stored, try starting it using starting fluid. If it starts and then stalls, we know its fuel related. If there is no change, I suspect we lost spark. Here is a link explaining how to check for spark:

If there is no spark, my first suspect is the crankshaft position sensor. It is located behind the crankshaft pulley below the water pump. Make sure nothing was disconnected there. Also, take a look through this link and let me know if it mirrors what you experience.
