Got caught in flood water, car shut off. Got it home on flatbed, dried out and started. Drove a few miles then the engine management light came on.
Got it back home. Starting as normal. Engine management light went off.
Car then wouldn't start. Checked fault codes and replaced cam and crankshaft sensors. Codes are no longer coming up but car still cranks doesn't start.

Hi,

What codes were present prior to replacing the parts? Let me know if you still have them.

Next, a crank no start condition is usually the result of either a fuel related issue or ignition. So, here is what I want you to try.

First, see if the engine will start if you use starting fluid. If it starts and then stalls, we have confirmed it is fuel related. If there is no change, I need you to check for spark at the spark plugs.

Here is a link that explains how that is done:

Try this and let me know the results. Also, if possible, could you record the engine cranking and upload it for me to hear? That may be very helpful.

Take care,

Joe

Hi Joe, thanks for getting back to me.
Not had chance to work on it because of work.
I had wondered about the fuel so will be checking that as it does start with Easy start but then stalls.
I forgot to say it didn't aqua lock when caught in the flood water.
This particular model doesn't have spark plugs.
I'll get a recording of it cranking and I'll try to get the codes.
Take care
Mike
