Car bubbling

When I shut my car off, it is bubbling. One time while I was idle, the thermostat went slightly up. I thought this may have been from me overfilling it?

I have to start by asking if you are adding water or coolant to the cooling system. If water, it will boil at 212°F and that isn't hard for the engine to reach, especially after it is shut off and the water stops circulating. Also, do you only hear the noise after the engine gets warm? Are there any other symptoms? Has the engine ever overheated?

Coolant only. It has literally just started in just a day. I have noticed when I turn the A/C on the thermostat starts going up. So I obviously shut it off.

What I need you to do is first confirm the cooling fans are running with the AC on. Next, we need to check and confirm there is no head gasket issue. Here is a link that explains how to check for a bad head gasket. The portion I want you to focus on is the one where it shows and talks about air / bubbles getting into the coolant. It's actually step 3. However, you really should look through all of the steps.

Let me know what you find. Also, you mentioned the gauge starts to go up with the AC on, how high does it get?
