Can you show me a picture of the oil pan?

There are two pans that are under the truck one is the transmission fluid, and the other is the oil pan. Last time I did my own oil change and was not sober enough to change the oil and i apparently drained the wrong pan. Please help!

Hi,

As far as the pans are concerned, the transmission pan will be behind the engine oil pan. I was able to find pics of the pans.

The transmission pan will be rectangular. See pic 1.

The engine oil pan is also rectangular, but it tapers up at the rear. See pic 2.

So, you’re saying the oil pan is more towards the rear of the truck? Or if need be I can take a picture of under the truck.

Yes, you can send a pic. Also, and don't laugh, I tried to draw a pic of the location.

F= Front of vehicle
R= Rear of vehicle
E= Engine oil pan
T= Transmission pan
