Can r-134a cans be refilled?

I need to empty my A/C system, and I'd rather keep it than donate to someone who will make money of it. Can the recharge can be refilled?

Not really, you will need to use a recovery machine to gather the refrigerant. If not, it will remain a gas which will fill very little. Sorry. Please go over this video, it should help.
