Codes P0351, P0352, P0353, and P0354, intermittent issue of the vehicle not moving when the transmission is shifted into reverse?

I parked for about one hour after a short drive from home.

Got ready to leave, started car and go in reverse to back out of parking, it does not accelerate while stepping on gas pedal; tried to go back to park, and reverse multiple times, still the same symptoms. I can drive forward, just not backwards.

I turned off the engine and restarted, then I was able to reverse out of parking spot.

This car has been sitting in the garage for a while, not being used. I would appreciate some pointers as to potential causes. I ran an ODBII scan, it shows error codes P0351, P0352, P0353, and P0354.

Hello,

If your Nissan Murano has P2135 set it is considered “drive by wire”. Which means that it uses sensors and actuators to control the throttle body. Here’s how this method of operating the throttle works:

You press the gas pedal.
The accelerator position sensor sends a signal to your Murano’s PCM.
The throttle position sensors (A/B and C/D) confirm the position of the throttle blade and the PCM adjusts the throttle position based on this input.
The two throttle position sensor signals need to agree with one another and the accelerator position sensor.
If they don’t agree with one another, P2135 is set.

This fault will not cause the vehicle not to shift into reverse.
I would suggest starting by checking the transmission oil level.
Your vehicle is equipped with a CVT transmission.
