Camshafts timing

Timing chain is on the rear end of the two shafts. The chain has two links that are marked. the intake cam has a variable timing component on the end of it. My question is how do you put that in time?

Can you please check your make and mode data, i only have one engine for the model you mention and it runs a timing belt. if you can advise the VIN number this may help and the country you are in as some models vary from county to country.

Kia likes to make things difficult at times. This engine has a timing belt driving one cam and a chain that drives the other. But, they did not put that information in any of the service literature that is publicly available..
