I need to change the camshaft sensor on my car. do you have to take the pulley off the power steering assembly or can you just take the whole power steering assembly and bracket off two change the sensor? The manual I have mentions nothing about it, but it sits under the power steering bracket.

Good morning.

I have never had to remove the power steering for this replacement. it is tight to access but can be done without removing it. if you need to, I would remove the entire assembly.

Remove or disconnect:
1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Remove throttle cable shield and bracket from throttle body.
3. Disconnect electrical connector.
4. Remove retaining bolt.
5. Remove sensor.

Install or connect:
1. Install camshaft position sensor.
2. Install retaining bolt.

Tighten
Bolt to 10 Nm (8 lb. ft.)

3. Connect harness connector.
4. Connect throttle cable bracket and shield.
5. Connect negative battery cable.
