Camshaft sensor replacement

I ran a car with a dead camshaft sensor, so now I put a new one. it cranks but not starting, when I remove it, is starting, engine shaking and it shut off.

I hate to ask this, but are you sure the correct one was replaced? There are two on this vehicle, one for each engine bank. Have you checked for diagnostic trouble codes since the work was done?
