I have looked everywhere for the location of the sensor. some say it's behind the timing belt cover by the camshaft and some say at the back of the LH Head. Before I take the intake off can I get a location and procedure of replacing the camshaft positioning sensor please?

I think there is some confusion on this as I don't think the 3.2L has a cam sensor. It looks like the 2.2L has the cam sensor is this location but the 3.2L only uses the crank sensor to determine engine timing.

You will see from the attachments below that there is no info on the cam sensor for this engine which is why I suspect it doesn't have one. Further more then cams are driven off a single gear connected to the crank so as long as the cams are timed correctly and the crank sensor is reading then it knows the cam positions and does not need a sensor. This was typical on these types of engines.

Is there a reason you are needing to change the sensor?
