I replaced the camshaft position sensor, and the connector had some bare wires showing and they were twisted all together, so I replaced it with a new connector pig tail. So, my question is, what is the order of the wires from the connector to the sensor the wire colors are pink/black, red, and brown/white so which wire goes to which pin on the connector?

Hello,

See attached for the pinout of the camshaft position sensor. It shows the color and position of the wires.

Let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you.

Thank you, I will go and try it and see if it starts. If not what else could it be? I have replaced the camshaft position sensor, the crankshaft position sensor, the coil packs, spark plugs, and wires. so, if this wiring diagram doesn't work, I'm pretty much stumped on what would cause it not to start. It turns over and wants to start and kind of does start for a second but just doesn't start, just sputters a bit and shuts off. Thanks again any info you guys have is useful.

Let me know the outcome after you wire this.
Also, what symptoms did you have before the no start issue?
Give me little more details and I will be happy to assist.

Well, it ran fine before the only symptom was it started having a misfire problem like it would run normal driving down the road and then it would just start missing and the check engine light would start flashing, and maybe a couple miles down the road it would just start running normally again and the check engine light would stop flashing. Anyways, that's the only symptom it had, and it was running fine and then I parked it for the night went out the next morning to start it and it started for a moment, but it was running really rough and then shut off. went to turn the key to start it again and the battery was drained and wouldn't turn over. I got another battery, and it would turn over but not start and that's when I changed the sensors and noticed the bad connector wires on the camshaft position sensor.

Did you get a chance to pull the codes for the engine light?
That could help with the diagnostics. If it is a cam sensor issue, it should have a stored code for that.
