The camshaft sensor bank 1 is on the left rear of the cylinder head, but if you are getting a code for this it might be the timing chain system is having an issue, does the engine make a slight rattle noise when at idle when the engine is cold? If so this can be an issue. Can I ask which code you are getting? Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.

The code I am getting is P0366, but I can’t find anything online point out the sensor so I can change it. I found 2 sensors on the driver side of the engine but I believe should be a total of 4. I need to change bank 1 and from any sources I see online that should be on the passenger side but there just isn’t much information I find on my specific vehicle. And it isn’t starting due to I’m hoping that sensor.

So this engine is a strange one, it says v6 but there is only one cylinder head and 2 camshafts. so the two positions I sent you are the only ones on the engine.

So the code P0366, the code definition is Camshaft Position Sensor “B” Circuit Range/Performance, Bank 1.

So sensor B would be on the left side of the plate while facing it. Does the engine have a rattle noise at idle cold? Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.

I put the new sensor in that spot (tried both actually) and the car still didn’t start. Do I need to clear the code with OBD to reset it with the new sensor installed? The car doesn’t start now so can’t say if has a rattle but I didn’t notice any unusual noises when it was working.

Did the engine run before the sensor change? It says the sensor are plug and play, or at the least the engine should run with a check engine light on. How does it sound cranking over? normal? Can you please upload a short video from under the hood of the engine cranking so I can see if the engine is hurt or not? Please go over this video as well.
