Camshaft position sensor removal

I was pulling out the camshaft position sensor which is plastic and it snapped apart in doing so. The auto parts store tells me this happens quite often. Are there any suggestions how I could possibly remove it from the engine? It is located just below the coil pack.

Is any part of the sensor sticking out or is it broken off flush?

The sensor is broken off flush unfortunately. Looks like I need to drill a hole but would like any thoughts. Thank you.

Yes, drill a hole in the center. Spray down the sensor with some lube. The o-ring is sticking. When you get the bolt in, tap it with a hammer and then try and twist it to release the o-ring . Then it will pull it out.

I lubed the o-ring . I will try to get a bolt in after drilling a hole for the screw or bolt. I am a diy mechanic as I am on social security. The auto service shop was rude when I asked for them to do this for me; I am now determined that I can get it done. They don't understand people on very low income, like me.

Roy, can you give any advice about the drill bit I should use as I believe there is a magnet inside the plastic casing? Thank you.

7/32 is a good start. Then use a machine screw to thread in.
