I removed camshaft sensor then turned over motor while it was removed now when new one installed won't start. did I throw off timing by turning motor over?

Hi,

You shouldn't have done anything to the timing. Can you tell me why it was removed? Have you retrieved any diagnostic trouble codes? Is there still spark and fuel getting to the engine?

Here is a link that covers the most common causes of a crank no start condition. Take a look through it and see if it helps in any way.

If it was running with the old one, see if reinstalling it allows the engine to run. You could have gotten a bad sensor.

Let me know what you find or if you have other questions.

Take care and God Bless,

Joe

hard start cranks 3 to 5 seconds. check engine light on first said crankshaft sensor then multi cylinder misfire main 2 bank. changed plugs, coil packs, still hard start check engine light still on will not erase. motor seems to run great. next scan says o2 sensor changed, check engine light still on still hard start. next scan says fuel injector and coil packs, spark plugs 02 sensor, again my fuel pump comes on i can hear it even sitting for days. go out push valve on fuel rail gas comes out haven't tested for pressure yet. have seen on net it could be camshaft sensor, temperature sensor or mass flow sensor. so i got those on the way here. also bought injectors it also has new throttle body.Any suggestions. thanks for your help.

HI DAN STOCKER,

We can help you with this information.
first i would like for you to put back engine control module, crank sensor and start all over.
this time you must scan and retrieve codes.
Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem.
