Cam shaft position sensor is there more than one?

Is there more than one cam shaft position sensor and if yes, should they both be replaced at same time? And does the crank shaft position sensor need to be replaced at the same time you replace cam shaft position sensor?
I’m asking because while shopping for cam shaft, I keep coming across them being sold in sets of 2 and 4.

Hi,

On this engine (4 cylinder) there are two camshaft position sensors (CMP). One is for the intake camshaft and the other is for the exhaust camshaft.

On a 6-cylinder engine, there would be 4.

I attached two pics below showing their locations on your engine. If you let me know the diagnostic code that is prompting you, I can tell you which one needs to be replaced.

Also, if there is only one of the two that is faulty, only the faulty one needs to be replaced. And the crankshaft position sensor (CKP) doesn't need to be replaced in this case.

Hi Joe, thanks for your response. The error code I’m getting is P0011.
I have replaced the #2 sensor and it does seem to be driving better. However, I can’t clear the code so is it safe to assume the #1 sensor needs to be replaced as well before it will clear?

One more question if I may, are you aware of any genuine plug and go performance chips that genuinely work to enhance Hp and torque? What happened to the days when people were more honest about their products? It seems a lot of people don’t have integrity in their products or companies or themselves these days. Uggh!!!!!!

The code is specific to bank one being over-advanced or in general, a system performance issue. If that sensor hasn't been replaced, that is where I would suggest starting. If that doesn't resolve the issue, let me know and we can start digging into the wiring.

I'm sorry, but I don't have information on performance parts. And I understand your concerns. I'm old enough to remember when most people had integrity and character. Many still do, but things are changing.
