My car is throwing a p0340 code I hooked up my obd2 and it said that it was a camshaft sensor issue. I have spent the last few days searching for it with no luck and I also have not seen any videos or online info about the location of it but there is info on the crankshaft sensor, so i'm wondering does this car have one and if not why is it throwing a cam sensor code? also, it's the 2.2L ecotec engine.

On top left side of cylinder head mounted to ignition coil housing. Here is a guide to help you step by step with instructions. Check out the images (Below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

Just to jump in on this one. The CPS is part of the ignition control module on this engine.

I am attaching the info below on how to find this but also the testing for this code because it may not be the ICM as the issue.

So, I would suggest running through this test and see what results you come up with.

Let us know what questions you have.

Thanks
