I have a 2002 STS, the system keeps throwing a miss code so I have problems getting a tag from the state emissions people. The dealer say they can not find any specific thing and offered to start changing stuff at my expense, but no garantee. One garage suggested the ECM because of the random codes, they also said I should get a used one so it would not have to be re-set by the dealer. My question is where are they located and should I have it re-set if I do installe a used one from e-bay.
