1995 Cadillac STS wont move

Broken pump shaft, fault with the transmission pump. Almost certainly mechanical, especially if you have no forward OR reverse gears. Was there a blowout resulting in all the fluid being expelled?

My husband "unplugged the hydraulics in the trunk and this happened the next time he drove the car. Could he have unplugged something that caused this?

What hydraulics in the trunk?

He doesnt know - some guy at work told him to unplug something in the trunk so he did. Hes not very savy when it comes to cars. So, same guy says hey tow it to my dad who is a mechanic and he does..its still there.

There should be nothing in the trunk that would cause the vehicle not to move. To not start, maybe. If you have no movement in forward or reverse, check and verify the fluid level is full in the transmission, and then it would almost require a line pressure test. This procedure requires a pressure gauge, and someone to the likes of David Copperfield to access and connect at the test port. You could possibly remove a cooler line at the radiator(more than likely the upper line), place something to capture fluid over the port(it is going to come from radiator side), and start the vehicle to see if you have flow. If you have no flow through the cooler, you more than likely have no pressure for some reason.

All I know is it had something to do with the hydraulics..? So they said. I appreciate any help. Wish there was someone who could do the work here but, thats been a BIG part of the problem, noone to work on it. Not anyone who has ever worked on a cadillac before...THANK YOU!

Yes there are several modifications. I have no idea for what though.All I know is its been there for a month and the rental car is killing me financially.
