cadillac seville sts

This happened to may a couple of times with my Maxima & Grand Prix. Make sure your gear shift is in the "park" position, then try to restart it. If that don't work, shift the car into "Neutral" and try to restart. Your sensor my not reconize the gear shift in "park" position.

sounds like the neutral safty switch isnt adjusted right, take it back, what does it say in the consold when trying to start?
