I have a 93 seville. 69000 miles, V8 northstar. excellent condition. i get all the tune ups on time. I was recently driving in a construction zone at 55, there was a dead cat in the road i slowed down to 40 but could not avoid it die to the barriers. 5 minutes later, if that, i noticed the car idling, as if it went into nuetral. i checked and it was fine. i pulled over to see if the animal was lodged in hter. it wasn't. the carsatarted normal and i drove off. as soon as i hit 50 it would do the same thing. it felt it couldnt change gears. i took it to the shop and they said it was the trans filter, so they changed that. nope...so they ran the computer and it said that it was a sensor, so that was replaced. Its not htat either. Now they are telling me that it is the computer. what could it be? i need some help before they touch anything else.
