alternator new battery new start up every once in a while starter 1 in a half months old when tryin to start makes a grindin noise like the battery is dead but fully charged would not jump off cables are clean

Sounds like the starter is bad again. I would pull the starter off and take it to the parts store and have it tested to make sure. Take your reciept so if it is bad they can warranty it for you. If not bad then look at the flexplate ring gear and see if any teeth are bad or missing. I do think it will be a defective starter though. Let me know if you need anything else ok. Thanks.

You may need to take to a shop if you are not comfortable with this. So what I would do first is call and see if your local parts store can do a system test on the vehicle and let them know you need to test the start most of all. Otherwise here is a pic of the starter and where it is.
