1976 Cadillac Seville V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 89,000 miles

I Turn the Ignition Switch to on in a attempt to start the car and Fuel/ Gas starts coming up from the Carburater and won't stop until i turn the switch to the off position the Carburater is wide open help.

In the diagrams I sent you look for the pressure regulator, test it as described in the info... Test fuel pressure too! It's not unheard of for parts/gaskets to fail on a 76 model car!

The gas overflowing from the carb is more than likely a stuck float in your carb. Some mechanics who rebuild a carb will assemble it incorrectly causing the float to stick open. Upon replacing the needle and seat along with a new float, there is a little wire that connects to the needle. DO NOT LOOP THE WIRE INTO THE SIDE HOLES OF THE FLOAT, this will cause the float to stick open and overflow the carb. The fuel pressure should not exceed 7psi just in case the fuel pump was replaced with an elect pump. The original mechanical fuel pump is the best to run if needing a replacement.
