ok guys i have my dream car a 94 fleetwood with
5.7 lt1 350 engine and evertime i start it it sounds like a deisel truck...
i mean it RUNS REAL STRONG!!!
da noises comes 4rm where my manifold or headers is located at...its like a air leak or sumtin...its louder when the engine is cold
i just came from a 2002 dts northstar which was a oil n gas guzler...
BUT COULD IT BE MY GASKETS OR a TUNE UP or bad plug or wires???

hey some one did tell me it was sumthing 2 do with my air valve and some think its my sheild or my exuast or sumtin
BUT HOW EVER MY CAR DID STALL OUT ON ME YESTERDAY!!!!
AT 1ST IT CUT OFF AT MY THE CAR WASH!!!!
AND I WAITED 10 MINUTES AND IT STARTED UP LIKE NOTHING!!!
SO I DROVE IT ON DA HIGH WAY DOING ABOUT 70 80 EAISLY...AND DROVE FOR ABOUR 20 35 MIN...AND IT DIED OUT BIG TIME ON ME...I WAS DRIVING ANFD DA WHOLE CAR STARTED JERKING AS IF IT WAS LOOSING POWER AND JERKING
SO I STOPED IT asap!!!!!
AND WHEN I TRIED 2 CRANK IT UP MY ENGINE MOVIED VOILENTLY BUT DID NOT KNOCK...
AND IT STARTED UP AND DIED OUT AGAIN
IM THINKING ITs a fuel pump?

what do u think it is???

that old of a car it could be anything, from fuel to distributor parts, if it dies again try squirting carb cleaner in the throttle body see if it starts, if not its ign prob, replace dist parts

looking to see if its cali or not it should have an AIR system. an AIR pump, and 4 tubes comming out of the exhaust manifold to a valve

the title was sold in texas and stayed in houston too
it also has the arlington TX sticker
but
im want 2 replace the fuel filter.....
and both screens and filter 2 be safe
ALSO
maybe fuel pump...
but im gna a do a MAJOR TUNE UP on it...from plugs and ign module...and i wana RE do da distibutor cap...

well if your going to take out the tank to replace the screen you might as well change the pump, get a GM pump and screen, aftermarket you have to change wiring also so dont do that

a cap and wire set probally 100.00 bucks, dealer about 175.00 bucks

other parts in distributor are the pole peice or pick up coil you need to ck it with an ohm meter, see if it has continuity through it, it hooks up to your control module, green and yellow wires, hook your ohm meter in thoes 2 wires and pull and tug slightly on them see if the continuity brakes up if it does you have to pull the dist to replace it
