2000 Cadillac Escalade Break lights???

ok my caddy i use for everything and i pull trailers often i hooked up to one the other day and blew a fuse when i hooked up the lights the brake lights repaced the fuse with a twenty five when ther was a twenty in it after use for the day dropped the trailer and no more side break lights third light still worked then replaced stop light switch at pedal still no go found broken wire at the rear wire harness conectjon repaired now all hell boke loose the third light blinks with the left blinker but both go off when you hit the breakes i was told the body control mod. is causeing the problems what do i do
