Hi,
How do you , or can you adjust the rear air shocks on a 2002 eldorado ETC. The pump comes on when the key is on. I have no leaks in lones or shocks, but the bladders are empty and the car sets low in the rear.
Thanks,
Jim

It is not an adjustable system, it uses ride height sensors in the rear. Does the compressor always run, and how did you determine no leaks in lines/shocks. The compressor itself could have a leak. You could also have faulty sensor(s) indicating that it is high enough already when in actuality it isnt. Also the links that connect the sensor to the lower control arm could be off/damaged.

I removed the wheels and the sensor connectors and moved the arms up, the compressor kicks on and the shocks pump up. I get under the car and can find no leaks. When I put the wheels back on and let the car back down I can hear the compressor bleed off, but the problem being it bleeds all the air out of the shocks. My 97 and my 01 both set about 2in higher in the rear than this 02 collectors edition. Can you tell me what year's have the type of adjuster's as the 02. I know the 97 is different but not sure about the 01.
Again thanks,
Jim

By adjusters, do you mean sensors? With the links hooked up, and the car on the ground, add some weight to the trunk and see if the compressor comes on and it raises. I will look and see if there is any programmed adjustment to the system and get back to you.

Sorry yes i mean sensors. I have loaded the trunk and the compressor does not kick on. I'm hopeing you'r correct on programming. The reason I think thats the problem is due to it pumping up when I removed the linkage on the sensors and moved the connectors upward. After putting the wheels back on and lowering the car back on the ground you can hear the compressor bleed off.
Again thanks,
JIM
