i bought a new battery and alternator and for five days i was fine. on the six day i had to give the car a jump. and now it wont hold a charge.and when i jump it the fuel tank door and the trunk pops open. but once i cut the car off it wont start again please help the car was a gift that why i wont to fix it thanks in advance.

When it is started it runs fine? The trunk and fuel door opening is common, don't have a scientific explanation as to why, I just know it does it. Immediately after shutting it off, it won't start, would lead me to think you have a bad battery. There is no draw that will take it down that quick. Now, if your talking overnight, or over the course of several hours, you could have a large draw.

yes when its running it purrs like a kitten i will replace the battery and see what happens thank you for your answer.

First, make sure your connections are proper, and if there is two positive cable ends, that the lead spacer is in place. In some cases, the bolt that secured these two cables was too long, and bottomed out before the cables were tight.
