Brakes problem
1996 Cadillac El Dorado V8 Front Wheel Drive Automatic 100 ml miles

recently, i replaced the brakes on my eldo. this included pads on all four wheels,a new master cylinder, a new booster, new fluid and completely bled the system. now the car seems to be stopping good, but i keep getting a light that says switch, and one that says to service brake fluid. the traction control light, anti- lock light, and the red brake light. i did replace the master cylinder a second time and re- bled very good. also i re-set the info for the computer, but these lights will not go out. what could be the problem. what need i do ? thanks.

start with scanning the car for the error codes.

you will need a code reader that can "talk" to the ABS computer, and the cheap scanners wont do that.

report back with all of the codes you get that start with the letter C

If your master cylinder has a fluid level switch, as it should, are you transferring this switch from reservoir to reservoir, or does each master cylinder come with one. Low brake fluid will cause all these warnings, and if you are transferring switches, replace it. I think the switch is normally open and closes with low fluid, try disconnecting and see if all goes away. If it don't go away, try shorting the terminals with a paper clip or jumper wire, and then see. I could be wrong on normally open, it could be normally closed, and if it goes away when shorting, it is. If it goes away when unplugged, the switch is shorted.
